Original Enamel Painting - "The Enemy Within"

Original artwork displayed during the "AMERICA! AMERICA!" exhibition at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center in Lexington, KY. 

At an unprecedented gathering of senior military leaders in Quantico, VA, Donald Trump defended the use of military troops in U.S. cities and stated that an “enemy from within” must be handled. 

“The Enemy Within” explores what it means for the government to weaponize the military against its own citizens. The face-sized mirror and question painted on its surface asks the viewer directly and plainly in red, white, and blue: “ARE YOU THE ENEMY WITHIN?”
